How often do we buy and sell, Home Turnover new facts

With the price of homes rapidly increasing, is it any wonder why people are becoming more and
more reluctant to sell their home. New figures have been revealed that in the last 30 years the
turnover of homes has dramatically decreased.
Generally, people are owning their homes for longer, with properties now changing hands at an
average of once every 19 years in England, compared to once every eight years.
This should not come as a big surprise, as if a young newlywed couple bought their first house in
2015, consider that over the course of the next 2-5 years they will be making renovations to the
house, later consider that they are in a position to start a family, you would not think that they
would be ready to sell their current and buy a new house a few years after that.
