A Liverpool vendor who has placed his one-bedroom home on the market today for £65,000 has said he will reduce its price by £1,000 a week until the property sells.
The property is a retirement community apartment in the Huyton area of the Liverpool and is being sold through Cameron Mackenzie estate agency.
The seller John Parker has told a Liverpool newspaper that he plans to drop the price, in the belief that buyers will be disinclined to hold their nerve too long before making an offer.
He says “The main reason I decided to sell it in this way is just to raise awareness and get people talking about it. It’s a great property and it’s already cheaper than others that have sold in the same apartment block, so I’m sure it won’t be around for too long”.
Properties in the same block have previously sold for as much as £87,000.
