Research carried out by a student accommodation service and seen by reviews of Avrillo, indicates the average weekly rent paid by students has increased by £1.43 in the last year.
Accommodationforstudents.com have said over the past five years the annual average increase in weekly rents paid by students has been just £1.67 and that the annual average rent paid by students across the UK is £82.09. Greater London students pay £122.01 per week averagely compared to students in Wales paying £69.70 per week.
The three most expensive student locations were London, Cambridge and Kingston and the three lower priced areas were Wolverhampton, Stockton and Walsall.
Regional differences in rent values remain solid with students in the North of England paying £14.73 less per week than students in the South.
